Glenfarclas 35yo 1981
The Family Collector Series honours this unique history, with each edition representing one of the six generations of the Grant family to own the distillery. Glenfarclas 35 Years Old Family Collector Series IV 1981 Cask #151 is the fourth release in the series, and pays homage to George S. Grant (1923-2002). The early years of his tenure were characterised by rapid growth and expansion, but in 1968 some of the major filling customers announced that they would not be ordering the following year. Instead, George decided to lay down more stock for the distillery’s own bottlings. This proved to be a very favourable decision, as Glenfarclas has now built up a huge stock of old casks which it offers as part of The Family Casks collection.
