Valuations
Would you like to know the value of your whisky? Then send us photographs of the bottles you wish to receive valuations for. Once we receive your photos, you’ll receive the valuation within 3 business days.
Key influencing factors to whisky valuations may include:
- The brand
- The age statement
- The ABV
- The type of bottling
- Limited editions
- Current market conditions
Our valuations consider the full breadth of the criteria by applying unbiased rule based logic derived from a proprietary data base, which has been developed from years of experience.
Marketplace
Private sale: We reach out to our network of whisky investors and collectors to find a buyer for your bottle. The private buyer makes an offer, which you can then either accept or decline. If you accept the offer, we will coordinate the settlement of the deal.
Brokerage shop: Some bottles may be suitable for our online whisky shop. We will take professional photographs of your whisky, define a suitable price and promote your bottle online. Once sold, we will coordinate the settlement of the deal.
Settlement
Contract: Once you decide to sell your whisky with us, we will send you a contract, which allows us to sell your whisky on your behalf.
Shipping: We will send you packaging materials, so you can send us your bottle securely. Use our return label for the box. It ensures a fully insured and easy transfer of your whisky. We use Swiss Post within Switzerland and DHL or Fedex for international shipments.
Conditions: We charge a 10% (including VAT) commission on the achieved sale price. The commission is deducted from the buyers payment to us before forwarding the amount to your bank account.
Storage and security: When we receive your whisky, it will be stored in our cool, dark and secure facility. From here it will be sent to the buyer in premium packaging and with an insured delivery service.
